Randall Coffill has over twenty-five years experience of private practice representing clients throughout the tri-state region.  In addition to drafting multi-state estate planning documents such as will and trusts, he regularly appears in Orange and Sullivan County Surrogate’s Court for private clients, and as appointed by the Court to protect the rights of infants and others in estate proceedings.  Mr. Coffill has tried numerous Adverse Possession and property dispute cases to verdict in Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster Supreme Courts; handled appeals in the Appellate Division for the 2nd and 3rd Departments of New York, and in the Court of Appeals, the highest Court in New York.  As importantly there have been successful settlements of many more property litigation cases prior to trial.  Several title insurance companies regularly engage his services for title insurance defense litigation.  Mr. Coffill also appears regularly in the local City, municipal and justice courts.  He has served as counsel for municipal Town, Planning and Zoning Boards, and as counsel for a public housing authority.  The Orange County Board of Realtors utilizes him to lecture on Real Property issues for individuals studying for the New York State Salesperson licensing exam.  A past director and past president of the Orange County Bar Association, he presently serves as a director of the Sullivan County Bar Association.  Mr. Coffill was a member of the House of Delegates for the New York State Bar Association, and is a director and past president of the Port Jervis Salvation Army Advisory Board. 

A Graduate from Hope College cum laude in 1980, Mr. Coffill earned his degree in law from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law in 1983.  He has worked in both small and mid-sized law firms in the Tri-State region, and now practices solo with his office in Port Jervis, New York at the Historic Erie Depot Station at 15 Jersey Avenue, Port Jervis, New York 12771.  The fully renovated building provides an attractive and suitable location to service the tri-state area with up-to-date systems and facilities to meet the demands and needs, big or small, for prospective clients.
