Family members facing a parent who can no longer live on their own can be dealing with extreme difficulty. The Office of Randall V. Coffill, Esq. Works with these clients to develop personalized plans to deal with aging or disability issues. Meeting with the clients and listening to the individualized needs is the first point of review. After consultation, the client can be guided through exploring long-term options, such as house-care, assisted-living facilities and nursing homes. The legal issues of Guardianship, and different proceedings which might be necessary if the loved ones have not pre-planned can be reviewed. Medicaid and SSI eligibility are discussed and reviewed, with the goal of developing both an estate and a care plan that secure the client’s future and the care and support of the client’s disable family member.
